Today we are pleased to announce the arrival of 「YUZA First Edition 2022」, a limited release from Kinryu Corporation and YUZA Distillery.
「YUZA First edition 2022」… Born with a strong belief that, ”Maturing until you are satisfied with the results.” ”Concentrate on offering only products that meet the definition of Japanese whisky.” The young staff start from scratch to create the ‘Yusa distillery character’. Limited edition of 8,500 bottles.
Only bourbon barrels used for ageing.
It is carefully selected from the original spirit casked between November 2018 and January the following year, when the distillery was just coming into operation, and bottled at cask strength to allow the full flavour of the cask release to be enjoyed.Only bourbon barrels are used for maturation, with a gorgeous, fruity aroma and flavour.
The sweet aroma of nuts, almonds, vanilla and honey flows smoothly into the mouth, changing from a fruity taste to a malt flavour and lingering. When watered down, the fruity aroma intensifies and the sweetness of the bourbon casks peeks out. The alcohol and youthfulness are lost.
This quality is amazing for a first release. This whisky strongly reflects the commitment of the Yusa distillery.
