Akkeshi Single Malt Whisky “Hakuro”, the twelfth in the Twenty-Four Seasonal Series of Akkeshi Whiskies, is now in stock.

The plan was to release this 24 Season series alternating between single malt and blended, but after two single malt releases, “Taisetu” and “Keichitu,” the last release was a blended “Shoman” and this time it is a single malt release.

Nijushisekki” is the name given to the seasons in 24 equal divisions of the year, including “Risshun” and “Geshi,” which we often hear about.

The “White Dew” is the 15th day of the 24 solar terms, the third of the autumnal seasons, and is the season that reminds us that autumn is in full swing.Although the lingering summer heat still lingers during the daytime, it is the time of year when one begins to feel the signs of autumn in the mornings and evenings, and autumnal delicacies such as saury and grapes are in season.

１．Akkeshi Single Malt Whisky “Hakuro”

Features

It has a slightly smoky peaty aroma that is different from Akkeshi’s previous peatiness.
Aged for more than 3 years in Mizunara oak barrels and other barrels using some of the original sake made from barley produced in Hokkaido.
The oriental incense-like aroma characteristic of Mizunara oak seems to gradually rise to the surface.

The aroma is smoky, but the taste is not so smoky, but rather bitter with a subtle sweetness of citrus peel that slowly emerges.
