Kizakura, which has been a popular sake producer since its founding, started its beer business in 1995 as the first craft brewer in Kyoto, and began selling craft gin in 2021. The whisky business obtained a manufacturing license in 2018, and began selling its whisky as Yellow Cherry Whisky from the Tanba Distillery in the spring of 2022.
The new product, which features sherry cask-aged peat whisky as the key malt, will have an unprecedented “Tanba” flavor.
