Today we are pleased to announce the arrival of Single Malt Saburomaru 1 The Magician Cask Strength, a new limited release from Wakatsuru Brewery and Saburomaru Distillery.
This cask strength version was sold by lottery to members of the Wakatsuru Brewery online shop “Me and, ALC.” and to visitors to the Saburomaru distillery on the day of release on 29 November, in a limited edition of 360 rare bottles.
53 PPM, Heavily peated
The saccharification process in a new mashtan made by Miyake Manufacturing has evolved into a mellow, smooth liquor with less cloying taste.
This is smoky, retaining the strong peat and malt aroma, but also expressing fruit acidity.The taste is well defined.The cask strength version is 63% alcohol by volume, while the regular version is 48% alcohol by volume, making it a more powerful and full-bodied bottle of malt than the regular version.
