Today we are pleased to announce the arrival of Tsunuki Single Cask Sherry Hogshead for CLAUDE WHISKY, a new limited release from Honbo Brewery and Mars Tsunuki Distillery.
The Mars Tsunuki distillery will be in its sixth season in 2022.
This single cask is bottled from the pure form of whisky, which was selected, milled, saccharified, fermented and distilled by Mr Tatsuro Kusano, distiller of the Tsunuki distillery, and matured in sherry hogsheads for approximately five years.

The use of a hogshead allows you to experience a rich sherry taste. This is a bottle for sherry lovers to enjoy.
Adding water gives it a lighter texture, hides the bitterness and increases the sweetness. Recommended straight, twice up.
Incidentally, a hogshead is a bourbon cask that has been broken down and rebuilt.Hogsheads made from sherry casks are called sherry hogsheads.It is called a hogshead because it weighs roughly the equivalent of a pig’s head filled with whisky.Think of it as a single cask from a single pig’s cask and you can see how rare it is.
